Dive Awards

Aqua-Trek received a Straight A Tour Operator rating and was listed as one of the Top 10 Dives in the World, according to Scuba Diving Magazine.

Additionally, Aqua-Trek was awarded the Fiji Excellence in Tourism Award. Mrs. Bernadette Rounds Ganilau, Fiji’s Minister for Labour, Industrial Relations, Tourism and Environment said: “Aqua-Trek reflects the most amazing best practice strategy I have seen in a dive operation in Fiji or in the Pacific. Apart from building Fiji up as one of the best dive sites in the world, Aqua-Trek has undertaken this in the most sustainable way in association with the environment and the traditional link that most Fijians hold to sharks and their prowess as kings of the reef. I salute Aqua-Trek for their vision.”

Client Testimonials

“No other shark dive in the world offers the variety of Aqua-Trek's Bega Lagoon dive. On a single dive it is common to see seven species of sharks including massive bull sharks and enormous tiger sharks. On one dive you will see more species of sharks than the average diver sees in a lifetime!  If you love sharks, Aqua-Trek's Beqa Lagoon dive is a must do."

-Howard Hall, Marine Cinematographer

“On my film shoot in Fiji, I experienced some of the best diving in the world with Aqua-Trek! Dive locations were easily accessible, and the coral reefs were abundant with fascinating marine life. But, the shark dive was the best I've ever done, as I experienced 7 different shark species swimming all around me–with the added excitement of a huge Tiger Shark hovering just over my head! Aquatrek gets an "A +" for a highly professional and amazing underwater adventure!"

Jack Hanna, host, "Jack Hanna's Into the Wild"
 Director Emeritus, Columbus Zoo

“Aqua-Trek Beqa Shark Dive offers one of the most diverse and energized shark diving experiences in the world. On a single dive I filmed 8 species of sharks including massive bulls, tigers and silver tips charging through a swirling tornado of giant trevally, rainbow runners, snappers and more. The sheer volume and variety of sharks and fish is incredible. Perhaps most exciting of all, Aqua-Trek has established a locally managed marine protected area where the sharks are protected and the reef restored."

Shawn Heinrichs, Blue Sphere Media

“Basically take everything you learned about sharks and leave it to fiction and Hollywood. We were within inches of specific sharks which have a not so lustrous reputation with regards to humans. We were a little uneasy at first yet these magnificent animals behaved more like dogs coming by to see what we were about. Once we were comfortably at 75' depth and our pulse rates dropped the sharks seemingly sensed that we were there to do them no harm. This experience was the best example of why the sharks should be more respected than feared. These dives made it all so worth while."
