The Wainikoriiluva (Luva) River kayaking adventure combines 5 unique Fijian experiences into an amazing one-day trip! Begin with an overland journey into the Namosi Highlands, which takes you through the island's mountainous rainforest interior. Atop jungle passes, enjoy breathtaking views of the ocean before descending into the beautiful Namosi Valley. This tropical paradise is home to the quaint village of Nakavika, where you'll be welcomed as a friend in the home of the chief as you participate in a traditional kava ceremony!
A short walk brings you to the Luva River, where you take charge of your own inflatable kayak. After a brief training session, you're off to the Class II whitewater rapids and rock mazes of the Luva. As your kayaking adventure continues, you'll enjoy a riverside picnic lunch followed by a fun hike through lush surroundings to spectacular Wainuta Falls, where a refreshing dip in the pristine pool beneath awaits. On your way back, enjoy the views of cascading waterfalls, villages and swimming children, and take in the incredibly green and scenic rainforest backdrop.

Time: 8:00 a.m.

AM Snack: Served late morning
Arrive at Put-in: Approximately 11:00am just outside the Highlands village of Nakavika
Rafting: We expect to launch our boats shortly after arrival following our safety/paddle talks Lunch: A deli style lunch will be served between 12:30pm & 1:30pm
Motorized Longboat: We'll board our motorized long boats between 3:00pm & 4:00pm depending on river flows
PM Snack & Beverage: Depends on groups' interest but likely to be served during the motorized longboat ride
Take-out: We will take-out in the village of Nakavu between 3:30pm & 4:30pm
Return to Hotel: We will change into our dry clothes for the return journey and likely have you back between 5:30pm & 7:30pm
